Warranty Logger is owned and operated by Calm Desk Co. Pte. Ltd. (“Calm Desk Co.”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Warranty Logger is the name of our warranty registration and tracking app.

Calm Desk Co. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal data when you use Warranty Logger, access our website, create an account, register a product, submit a warranty claim, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services.

What Do We Do With Your Information?

When you use Warranty Logger, we may collect personal data that you provide to us, including your name, email address, phone number, account details, product details, brand name, model number, serial number, purchase date, warranty period, receipt or invoice, uploaded images, claim details, and any messages or documents you submit through the app.

If you are a merchant, retailer, brand, or business user, we may also collect business-related information such as your company name, store details, contact information, product catalogue, warranty settings, customer registration records, order-related information, and service or claim records needed to operate the app.

When you use the app, we may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, app activity, login activity, pages or screens viewed, referring pages, and usage data.

We use this information to provide warranty registration, warranty tracking, claim management, merchant verification, customer support, app notifications, service updates, security monitoring, fraud prevention, app improvement, and related services.

Email marketing and notifications, if applicable: With your permission, or where permitted by law, we may send you emails, messages, or app notifications about warranty updates, claim status, service reminders, product news, app features, announcements, promotions, or other relevant updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions, changing your notification settings, or contacting us directly.

Consent

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”), organisations are generally required to notify individuals of the purposes for collecting, using, or disclosing personal data and obtain consent unless an exception applies.

By using Warranty Logger, creating an account, registering a product, uploading a receipt, submitting a claim, contacting support, or providing information to us, you consent to Calm Desk Co. collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

In some cases, the PDPA may allow us to collect, use, or disclose personal data without consent, such as where required or authorised by law.

How Do You Get My Consent? 

When you provide us with personal data to complete a transaction or use a service, such as creating an account, registering a warranty, uploading proof of purchase, submitting a warranty claim, verifying a product, or contacting customer support, we understand that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific purpose.

If we ask for your personal data for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to opt out, where required by law.

For merchants, retailers, brands, or business users who provide customer or order data to Warranty Logger, you confirm that you are authorised to share such data with Calm Desk Co. and that you have obtained all necessary consents from your customers, employees, or representatives.

How Do I Withdraw My Consent? 

If you change your mind after providing consent, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you or for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@warrantylogger.com

Please note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide certain services to you, such as account access, warranty registration, warranty tracking, merchant verification, warranty claim

processing, service history, or customer support.

Withdrawal of consent will not affect any collection, use, or disclosure of personal data that is required or authorised by law.

Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose your personal data if required by law, if you violate our Terms and Conditions, or where necessary to provide and improve Warranty Logger services.

This may include disclosure to merchants, retailers, brands, service centres, repair partners, warranty providers, Shopify store owners, cloud hosting providers, IT service providers, email or SMS providers, analytics providers, payment providers where applicable, professional advisers, government authorities, regulators, or law enforcement agencies.

If you submit a warranty claim, your information may be shared with the relevant merchant, brand, service centre, or warranty provider so they can verify your purchase, assess your claim, process repair or replacement requests, and communicate with you.

Data Intermediary 

In some situations, Calm Desk Co. may act as a data intermediary under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). This means Calm Desk Co. processes personal data on behalf of merchants, retailers, brands, or business clients that use Warranty Logger to manage product registrations, warranty records, claim submissions, customer communications, and related services.

Where Calm Desk Co. acts as a data intermediary, the merchant, retailer, brand, or business client is generally responsible for notifying individuals and obtaining the necessary consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data.

Calm Desk Co. will process such personal data in accordance with the client’s instructions, contractual obligations, and applicable PDPA requirements.

Third-Party Services 

In some situations, Calm Desk Co. may act as a data intermediary under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). This means Calm Desk Co. processes personal data on behalf of merchants, retailers, brands, or business clients that use Warranty Logger to manage product registrations, warranty records, claim submissions, customer communications, and related services.

Where Calm Desk Co. acts as a data intermediary, the merchant, retailer, brand, or business client is generally responsible for notifying individuals and obtaining the necessary consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data.

Calm Desk Co. will process such personal data in accordance with the client’s instructions, contractual obligations, and applicable PDPA requirements.

The Warranty Logger app or website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

 

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, platforms, merchants, brands, payment providers, or service centres. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

Security 

To protect your personal data, we take reasonable precautions and follow generally accepted industry practices to make sure it is not improperly lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

We may use measures such as account authentication, password protection, access controls, role-based permissions, secure cloud storage, audit logs, encryption where appropriate, system monitoring, and limited access to personal data by authorised personnel or service providers.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your login details, password, and verification codes secure.

Cookies

Access and Correction

PDPA

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you. You may also request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Access and correction are part of the data protection obligations set out by Singapore’s PDPC.

In certain cases, we may be permitted or required by law to refuse an access or correction request. Where required, we will explain the reason for refusal.

Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required for legal, business, accounting, audit, security, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes. Retention limitation is one of the PDPA obligations listed by Singapore’s PDPC.
 

For warranty records, we may retain personal data for the duration of the warranty period and for a reasonable period after expiry to support claim history, service records, audits, legal claims, or dispute handling.
 

When personal data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymise it, or securely dispose of it where practicable.

Age of Consent

By using Warranty Logger, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence, or that you are using the app with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

If you provide personal data on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have obtained the necessary consent and authority to do so.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Calm Desk Co. reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it regularly.

Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting on the app or website, unless otherwise stated.

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we may notify you through the app, website, email, or other appropriate means.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy, Warranty Logger, or the handling of personal data by Calm Desk Co. shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
